ACC, Inc. has been involved in South Carolina's Professional Assisstance Program. This
program pairs professional archaeologists with local governments, historic societies, and volunteer groups to examine cultural resources needing evaluation outside of the compliance arena.
ACC personnel, in conjunction with other professional archaeologists, donate
their services to excavation of the Kolb site in Darlington County, South
Carolina. This site is undergoing a multi-year investigation with
crews of avocational archaeologists and other volunteers. Excavations are carried
out for 2 weeks each year and a public day is held. Volunteers and
visitors to the site include groups of home school kids, boy scouts, and other
clubs. To read more about the Kolb site click HERE.
